City Career Opportunities for Ex Military and Returners to Work

8th Sep 2017

The established course, which is free to attend, is running from 2-6 October 2017 at Bishopsgate Financial’s offices in Finsbury Square, London. It has been designed to give participants industry insight and an understanding of basic-level consulting and project management skills. It will also provide the right candidates with the opportunity to start an exciting career in financial services.

Adam Libbey, Consultant and Head of Bishopsgate Financial’s Talent Programme explains, “The week-long training course will provide candidates with a financial services overview, a foundation in business analysis and tools and techniques in consulting. It will involve in-house training sessions, guest speakers from high quality financial institutions and plenty of opportunity for practical project work sessions, presentations and assessments. “Bishopsgate Financial has a proven track record in helping ex-military to develop City careers, building on their inherent transferrable skills of leadership, communication, logistics, discipline and integrity. We are now opening up the course to returners to work to help them to build on their existing skills – regardless of the sector they previously worked in – and help them to fast track their career. Course participants will gain a wealth of knowledge from our one week programme – a vital first step if they are interested in career opportunities in the financial services industry.”

On completion of the course, attendees will be evaluated and will have the opportunity to apply for The Bishopsgate Financial Talent Programme – a salaried two year training programme aimed at helping ex-military to build a career path and gain industry recognised qualifications in the financial services sector. The programme consists of a focused training package followed by practical client engagements and continuous personal development.

Bishopsgate Financial has been running this training programme successfully for a number of years, having developed the initiative as a source of talent for its business.
